Jacob Lujan is a graduate student at Texas Tech University pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication. He is currently the Fall Photography Fellow at The Texas Tribune and previously worked as a visuals intern at The Houston Chronicle and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Toreador. Lujan has also freelanced for publications and organizations including the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the National Premier Soccer League, and Red Raider Sports. He is a graduate of The New York Times Corps mentorship program.

Throughout his career, Lujan has earned multiple state and national awards for feature and sports photography, including recognition from the College Photographer of the Year competition and the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. In addition to his journalism background, he has experience in electronics and electrical engineering and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Lujan is available for freelance assignments across Texas and neighboring states, focusing on visual storytelling that captures authentic human experiences and the moments that define them.
