Jacob Lujan is the Fall Photography Fellow at The Texas Tribune. Previously he worked as a visuals intern at The Houston Chronicle and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Toreador, Texas Tech's student paper. Lujan has freelanced for publications including the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the National Premier Soccer League and Red Raider Sports. He is a graduate of The New York Times Corps mentorship program.

Lujan has earned multiple state and national awards for feature and sports photography, including recognition from the College Photographer of the Year competition and the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. In addition to his journalism background, he has experience in electronics and electrical engineering and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Lujan is available for freelance assignments across Texas and neighboring states, focusing on visual storytelling that captures authentic human experiences and the moments that define them.
